Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair |
The 45th edition of the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, to be held from February 26 to March 2, 2010 in the Impact Challenger Hall at Muang Thong Thani, will be a veritable cornucopia of jewellery, diamonds, coloured precious and semiprecious gems, pearls, and created gems in every shade of the rainbow, and in every price range to suit the most exacting demands.
The 45th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair will begin with a Grand Opening Ceremony in the Royal Jubilee Hall at 9.20 a.m. on February 26, graciously presided over by H.E. Porntiva Nakasai, Minister of Commerce.
The Fine Design Pavilion will be a focal point of the Bangkok Fair. The Fine Design Pavilion will premiere the entries submitted in the Queen's Cup Ploi Thai Jewelry Award, the design competition for Thailand's best talent to create and produce the very latest in imaginative and exquisite jewellery. The Ploi Thai Jewelry Award winners will be announced at the following fair in September.
The Ploi Thai Jewelry Award Design Competition will be the launch of the Ploi Thai country brand programme, a joint initiative of the Thai Government and the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), aimed at branding Thailand's gem and jewellery products worldwide. The Ploi Thai logo, a registered trade mark, will be prominently displayed at the Bangkok Fair.
The 45th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair is jointly organized by the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) and the Department of Export Promotion (DEP). The Bangkok Fair will feature 1,300 exhibitors from Thailand and around the world, displaying the full range of gems, jewellery, equipment and services for the industry. The 100,000 square metre Impact Challenger Hall will welcome more than 35,000 people over the five day period of the exhibition. The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair is Asia's premier trade event and is one of the top five gem and jewellery trade shows in the world.
